The mummified remains of a 57,000-year-old female wolf pup were found, making her one of the oldest wolf specimens ever found.
The wolf pup was found in Canada's Yukon region, where it would have remained frozen and intact for thousands of years in the permafrost.
The little she-wolf, who was baptized as Zhur, is in an incredible state of conservation for the surprising age she is, she still has her teeth, her hair and other organs, she would be approximately 6 or 7 weeks old.

The contents of its stomach have provided the opportunity to learn a little more about the feeding habits of this species, traces of fish and waterfowl from the area were found.
Researchers believe that she died buried alive in her den during a sediment collapse.
